Canadian 'G' Overprints

Some Canadian stamps have been overprinted with a letter 'G' for official or "Government" use.

Existing stamps had the overprint added, so that they were not used for regular circulation.

Some of the stamps are available in the store.

In the Scott numbering system the stamp number is preceded by the letter 'O' designating them as official stamps.

These were released between 1948 and 1963.
